Understanding CSV Files
CSV files are data files commonly used in spreadsheet applications like Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. They can be used on the Admin Dashboard in a number of different ways to help you manage your organization's learners.
Downloading Learner Summary and Course History CSV Files
If you need to check the learners' registration data, or see what courses they are watching or have completed, you can generate a CSV file with that information. On the Learners page, click on Generate CSV file and select the type of CSV file you want. The file will be generated by the Admin Dashboard and you will be able to download it from the CSV download page.
Uploading a CSV File in the Groups Page
You can also use CSV files in the Admin Dashboard for uploading learners' data into the system directly. Currently, this option is only available on the Groups page. After creating a new group, click on Add and select CSV upload. You will be taken to the CSV upload page, where you can download the CSV template and enter the learners' information directly into it. Please be aware that you need to use the CSV template available, or otherwise the data will not be recognized by the system.
Common Questions About CSV Files
I tried uploading a CSV list to one of my groups and got an error. What it could be?
When adding learners to a group via CSV, please be sure to add their email addresses below the email line. If you accidentally delete or overwrite the email line, the CSV template will not work. Please also double check that you have added only email addresses of learners already registered to GLOBIS Unlimited. If you add the email of someone who is currently not registered as a learner, the CSV file will return with an error message.
What is the difference between "awaiting course test completion" and "course completed" on the status category in the course history CSV file?
In order to fully complete a course on GLOBIS Unlimited, a learner has to not only watch all of the course's contents, but also finish its last test. After completing the last course test, the status of the course will change from "awaiting course test completion" to "course completed" on the status category in the CSV file.
What is the meaning of "review learning" in the course history CSV file?
When a learner decides to review a previously completed course, the status "review learning" will show up on the CSV file after they finish watching all of the course's contents again.
